IU: Store Locator Map (“the app”) is a Wix app that shows a business’s store locations on a map on its Wix site. This policy explains what information the app handles, for site owners who install it and for visitors of their sites.

Information about site owners

• Locations you add or import (name, description, address, phone, email, opening hours, time zone and map position) are saved in your site’s own Wix Business Locations. The app reads and changes them only through Wix’s APIs, with the permissions you grant when you install it. The app keeps no separate copy.
• To show your plan (Free or Pro), the app reads your app installation’s basic details from Wix. Payments are handled entirely by Wix; the app never sees card or bank details.
• When you use “Find from address” or import a CSV file, the address is sent to an address lookup service (see “Third-party services”) to find its map position.

Information about site visitors

• The widget shows only what the site owner published: the locations’ public details. Visitors don’t sign in and the app doesn’t create visitor profiles.
• If a visitor searches for a city or postal code and presses Enter, that search text is sent to an address lookup service to find it on the map. Nothing that identifies the visitor is added to it.
• “Near me” asks the browser for the visitor’s position only after they click it, and only with their permission. Distances are worked out in the browser; the position is not sent to or stored by the app.
• When the site shows opening hours in the visitor’s time zone, that time zone is read from the browser and used only in the browser.
• The app sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising trackers and shows no ads.

Third-party services

To draw maps and find places, the app uses free services built on OpenStreetMap data:

• Map images: OpenFreeMap, or VersaTiles when OpenFreeMap is unavailable.
• Address lookup: Nominatim (OpenStreetMap Foundation), or Photon (komoot) when Nominatim is unavailable.

Map images load directly in the visitor’s browser, so these services receive the visitor’s IP address and browser details as part of an ordinary web request. Address lookups are sent from the app’s server. Each service handles that data under its own privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

The app’s server may keep recent address lookups in memory for a short time so the same place isn’t looked up twice; this is cleared whenever the server restarts and is never written to storage. Location data stays in your Wix site until you change or delete it there. Uninstalling the app leaves your locations in place, since they belong to your site.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. The app accesses site data only through Wix’s APIs and the permissions shown at installation.
